Pelham Education Foundation funds programs and technology at schools
The Pelham Education Foundation is an organization in town that has been going for more than 15 years.
The foundation collects contributions and uses these contributions to fund “education programs, technology and facilities for the school,” said Julie Roche, vice president and board member of the foundation.
When you think about it, it’s pretty helpful. It provides a lot more education for kids in Pelham. But how do they know what the people want?
“We do surveys of the community, the faculty and the students to decide what are the biggest wants and needs,” said Mrs. Roche, whose son Tommy is in 3K. “It started originally because people in the community wanted a foreign language lab at the high school.”
After that, it became the Pelham Education Foundation.
So there you go. That’s the Pelham Education Foundation. So, put in some contributions; it helps.
