In Colonial’s favorite movie, does the Batman get the girl?

Many exciting movies, but only one winner… “The LEGO Movie.”

The Colonial Times chose ten movies that are coming up or are already out to survey people about. The films were “Hunger Games: Mocking Jay (Part 1),” “Mr. Peabody and Sherman,” “Night at the Museum 3,” “The Hobbit: There and Back Again,” “The Giver,” “Dolphin Tale 2,” “How to Train Your Dragon 2,” “Rio 2,” “Muppets Most Wanted” and “The LEGO Movie.”

The movie that was the most popular with Colonial students was “The LEGO Movie,” according to the Colonial Times survey.

Isabelle Berkery  (5V) said, “It seems very funny with a good sense of humor, but might not be that interesting for kids my age.”

Kira Findikyan (1A) said she would recommend the story in the LEGO film “because it has a lot of action and makes you think what are they going to do next.”

“I want to see ‘The LEGO Movie’ because it seems funny and exiting,” said Katie Bratone (3L). “Also, I heard a lot of good reviews on it.”

Celia Parent (2C) said,  “I thought this movie was so funny because of all the weird things the characters  said and did. My favorite character is Emmett.”

Even though “The LEGO Movie” was the most popular, many Colonial School students picked other movies. Here’s how other movies ranked in popularity with  kids:

Tenth Place: “The Giver”

Ninth Place: “Night At The Museum 3”

Eighth Place: “Rio 2”

Seventh Place: “The Hobbit: There and Back Again”

Sixth Place: “How to Train Your Dragon 2”

Fifth Place: “Muppets Most Wanted”

Fourth Place: “Hunger Games: Mocking Jay (Part 1)”

Third Place: “Dolphin Tale 2”

Second Place: “Mr. Peabody and Sherman”
