Walking for love

In Walk for Love, a program created by sixth graders at Pelham Middle School and Colonial teachers and students, students and parents walked around the block to raise money to help and support people who lost loved ones. At the end, everyone had ice cream. Some people donated to watch the students walk. That’s how the money was raised.

A lot of Colonial students participated in Walk for Love because they thought that it was the right thing to do.

The walk definitely assisted the two families, the Hattars and the L’Herminiers. It also helped people realize that they can take action in fundraisers like this one. We may not do this next year, but it was a great way to help the families feel better and give them hope.

All kids in all grades felt happier because they participated in Walk for Love. The Walk for Love brought love to Pelham.
