The First Annual Colonial Spelling Bee was a big success for the school. We really enjoyed it and thought it was educational and fun for everyone. Ms. Angela Monteleone and Mrs. Alaura Stivala were great instructors and kind and supportive when students were knocked out of the competition. Mrs. Kristina Findikyan, a Colonial parent, is to be thanked for organizing the whole event.

The spelling bee was great because it helped kids increase their vocabulary and improve in spelling. It also encouraged students to be more confident as they stood up in front of people.

Another reason the spelling bee was an impressive event was that at the school district bee Colonial students took three of the top four spots, winning second, third and fourth. This paper is excited for the Second Annual Colonial Spelling Bee next year.
