Late bus: 3rd graders hear 2 songs on trip
COLONIAL SCHOOL — The buses for the third grade field trip were an hour late on Feb. 3 and the students almost missed the whole show put on by the New York Philharmonic.
The third grade classes were going on a trip to a concert starting at 10:30 a.m., but arrived at Lincoln Center in New York City at 10 a.m. They only heard two songs.
“The bus was supposed to come at 9 a.m., but it came at 10:05 a.m.,” said third grade teacher Mrs. Kagel.
“We think the buses didn’t know where the school is,” said third grader Grayce Cooper. Added classmate Carly McNamara, “The bus drove right past the school!”
“By the time we got to the concert, they were playing the last two songs of the show,” said student Morgan Orlando.
