CLASSROOM 5GOLD — Mrs. Mary Goldszer turned 5U into 5Gold.

During winter break, the students of 5U learned that their teacher, Mr. Jim Urban, was not going to be returning to school. When the students got back, they had Mrs. Alfa and Mr. Shavone as subs, and then they learned that the principal, Mrs. Wilson, had found a replacement, Mrs. Goldszer.

Mrs. Goldszer taught in Rye Neck at a school named F.E Bellows Elementary. She’s been a teacher for eight years.

She said she likes teaching here “because all the kids here are so lovely and wonderful.”

We also learned a few interesting facts about her. Her favorite subject to teach is language arts. Her favorite memory of being a teacher was taking a fourth grade field trip to Philadelphia from Rye Neck. They saw sights like the Liberty Bell and historic parts.

Her favorite part of teaching is helping students become life-long lovers of learning.

Mrs. Goldszer is very friendly and nice, and she hopes to stay here for a while.
