COLONIAL SCHOOL — In November, Colonial School held a charity project to get Long Island children affected by Superstorm Sandy new backpacks with lots of supplies in them.

Since Hurricane Sandy hit, some of the children around the area lost all of their special things and even their schools.

To cheer all of the kids up, Colonial School helped with the idea of a backpack charity.  In each backpack a student gave, they were supposed to write a note to say that they hoped the Long Island kids like the supplies and to wish them  happy holidays.

At Colonial School, we collected at least 45 backpacks for the Lond Island victims. Keep in mind that if you did donate a backpack, it is going to a very special kid who is without their backpack as well as supplies.
