COLONIAL PLAYGROUND — As the fifth grade students walked out of the school to rousing cheers of “stuff the bus,” they marked another successful year of the program.

Stuff a Bus is a charitable project headed by the Pajama Program. Colonial students donated pajamas and books to kids in need, then helped load the bus with the items when it visited.

Fifth Grader Juliet Hetzer said, “My favorite part of Stuff the Bus is helping kids in poverty.”

“It is disappointing to here that all kids did not know what pajamas were,” said fifth grader Charlotte Seligman. “I hate hearing that they could be in uncomfortable clothes.”

Students at all four Pelham elementary schools donated 990 pairs of pajamas and more than 960 children’s books as part of the annual Stuff-a-Bus campaign.
