COLONIAL — A new year has brought a new challenge. Kids Heart Challenge is raising money for kids with heart disorders. All the donations go to research to help with heart issues around the world.

This year the name is different. The past years it was called Jump Rope For Heart. Now, it’s the Kids Heart Challenge. Now, it is about more than just jump roping.

There are three challenges that the American Heart Association challenges kids to do.

Charlotte Hong is new to Colonial and did something like Kids Heart Challenge called Boosterthon. “It will give a message like be brave or confident.”

Max Halverson said “prizes is not the point to donate money to charity. It’s not going to help anyone to change the name.”

Most kids are very exited about Kids Heart Challenge.

Cathleen Ginsburg said, “It gives you a chance to donate money to people that might not be as healthy as me. It makes me happy.”
