Uncle treats Covid-19 in emergency room in northern Italy; hospital is trying new ozone treatment

I interviewed by Facetime my uncle, Aurel Mengri, who is an emergency room doctor in an extremely busy hospital in northern Italy that only treats people with Covid-19.

He works long hours and is very stressed because he is in contact with people that are dying from the disease.

But he said that there is hope. They may have found an alternative way to treat people. They use a gas called ozone, which breaks the virus’s protective shell and boosts patient’s immune system. For this procedure, Mengri takes out an infected person’s blood and puts ozone in it and then puts it back inside the body.

Doctors are pretty far from making a Covid-19 vaccine.
