Kids to play during annual Pelham Music Festival

Kids will play a variety of instruments. Instruments to be featured include band instruments, orchestra instruments and instruments students study on in private lessons at home.

Anne Boorman, who helps with organizing the event, said, “The Pelham Music Festival is an opportunity for young people who enjoy music to spend a day together making music. Girls and boys from the same grade hear each other perform, and learn that they have something in common.”

“Another nice thing about the PMF is going to health facilities,” she said. “It’s nice to share music with the elderly, or people in poor health. Performing is a challenge and it encourages students to be the best they can be!”

With this very encouraging and nice description of the Pelham Music Festival from someone who knows a lot about it, students performing will probably be less nervous when they play.
