Girl Scouts enjoy holiday caroling at Wartburg Nursing Home on Dec. 14

MOUNT VERNON — On Dec. 14, Girl Scout Troops 1664 and 1667 went caroling at the Wartburg Nursing Home. The girls went floor to floor spreading holiday cheer.

“I liked it a lot because it made me feel good caroling for people,” said Jamie Burke from Troop 1664.

The girls started on the top floor, singing songs like “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “Silent Night.” For “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” the girls held up cute signs for each day in the song.

“I liked it because we were cheering up elder people so I felt good about myself,” said Larisa Breskin from Troop 1667

The girls really enjoyed caroling. Their troop leaders hope to do it next year.
