Evan Kaplan is eleven years old and in fifth grade. Evan plays tennis and swimming. His achievements are winning the Colonial Spelling bee in the fourth and fifth grade section when he was in third grade. The next year, he won the Colonial bee and won as a co-champion in the district wide spelling bee. He also qualified for the regional Junior Olympics for swimming. He is interested in writing for the Colonial Times because he loves spelling and writing. He was one of the people who helped discover the word floccinaucinihilipilification. (That's not true, but he is one of the few people that can pronounce it).
