COLONIAL SCHOOL — Halloween safety was very much a concern of the Colonial School staff, including Mrs. Wilson, the principal. Her safety tips will also be helpful for kids year round, including this time of year when it gets dark fast.

Mrs. Wilson believes that all children should wear reflective clothing, especially those who are younger. Mrs. Wilson also said children should go trick-or-treating with adults.

“Better safe than sorry,” she told the Colonial Times. “Don’t go trick-or-treating at a dark house.” Mrs. Wilson said people may not be home or it could be dangerous. She also said to always bring a flashlight for safety reasons and also let an adult check your candy.

If you follow these rules, can have a safe and fun Halloween every year. You will also stay safe the rest of the year.
