Colonial dad talks about journalism at meeting of newspaper club
Mr. Greg Farrell, a Colonial parent and journalist at Bloomberg News, spoke about the news business at a Colonial Times meeting.
COLONIAL LIBRARY — Mr. Greg Farrell came in and talked to the Colonial Times. He works at Bloomberg News as a business writer, and his daughter Irina is in 3D.
Mr. Farrell wrote two books: “America Robbed Blind” and “Crash of the Titans: Greed, Hubris, the Fall of Merrill Lynch, and the Near-Collapse of Bank of America.” In his books, he used very serious words. Both of his books are nonfiction.
His father was famous in journalism in Boston. When Mr. Farrell was young, his favorite thing to read about was the Red Sox baseball team. Also at a young age, he got to meet President John F. Kennedy.
When he was an adult, his friend in Texas helped him write his first book. His first journalism-related job was at a super-small newspaper.
