Happy Birthday Colonial!
Colonial school is celebrating its 90th anniversary! Colonial was built in 1926, in Pelham. Before Colonial School was built, the original school had only 4 classrooms and was the size of 1 house. That Colonial School then shut down when Siwanoy school opened. Colonial School re-opened and bought one more property at 105 Boulevard. They started renovating in 1926 and finished in 1927. I asked Mrs. Wilson, the Colonial School Principal, about how Colonial has changed over the years. “I have been here 15 years and we have got a maker space and a lot more technology since then,”said Mrs.Wilson. I asked two students and a teacher about what they like most about Colonial. Rean D. and Courtlyan A. said that they liked recess the most about the school. “I think school gets harder every year,”said Mr. Martucci in grade 5.
