Mrs. Johns takes over Mr. Ventura’s fourth grade class while he is out

CLASSROOM 4V — Mrs. Johns is class 4V’s substitute teacher for a few months while Mr. Ventura is on leave.

“She is a great teacher, and I’m looking forward to the next few months with her,” said Josie Leff (4V).

Alesandra Oteri-Degloria (4V) said that Mrs. Johns was nice.

Mrs. Johns said she started teaching because “I wanted to combine working with children and doing something meaningful.”

She went to college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She wanted to go there because both her parents went to that school so she knew a lot about it. She said she also wanted a  school that was very big and had a football team. She followed Wisconsin by getting her teaching degree at  DePaul University.

Mrs. Johns has taught in Scarsdale, Chappaqua and a school in Chicago. She said her favorite thing to do is to go on vacation with her family and explore new places with her kids.
