Third grade prepares for writing celebration Jan. 22, with parents coming to hear work

3RD GRADE CLASSROOMS — On Jan. 22, the third grade students will share their writing pieces with their parents and friends in a writing celebration.

The students spent some of September, October, November and December working on their pieces. They’re excited to see all of their hard work pay off, and they want their parents to hear what they worked very hard on.

Lexi Cullen (3L) said, “We can show the parents what we’ve been working on in school and writing.”

Theo Kim, also in 3L, said that he was excited for the writing celebration “because we can show the parents what we’ve been working on in school.”

Colonial School has done the third grade writing celebration for a long time—for at least about 20 years.

“I like sharing my work with my parents and my class,” said Lola Seligman (3L).
