Kids walk to school to help the earth, are dropped off and even meet friends at another school

COLONIAL SCHOOL — Some kids drive to school and some walk.

“My mom drives me to the middle school, then I walk to school with my friends,” said Scarlett Gristina. “I like walking with my friends.”

“I walk because I live a block away,” said William Kappolow. “I walk because it’s good for the earth.”

“I ethier walk or drive,” said Owen Wierstra, who would prefer to ride an electric hoverboard.

That is how a few kids get to school or would like to get there. After a long day, the students must go home in a bunch of different ways.
