In 5P, all the students are making slideshows on the lands Asian American and Pacific Islanders come from and then presenting them to class.
Students chose from these places: Japan, Hawaii, China, India, Korea, Bangladesh, Fiji, Samoa, Pakistan, the Philippines, Bhutan, Indonisia, Nepal and Guam.
“I’m doing Bangladesh, and I learned that it has the eighth biggest population,” said one student.
A maximum of students were allowed to take each county. Many students wanted China because they learned about that big nation in third grade.
“It’s important to learn about different countries,” said Mrs. Piera Pulcino, the teacher.
