Nurse appreciation day is nationwide. Many kids around the USA are celebrating today. In Colonial School the kids are making cards for nurse McCarthy. Today when we see Ms. McCarthy in the hallway we will thank her for helping us when we are hurt.
For Nurse Appreciation Day, everyone will be making cards that will show how much they love Ms. McCarthy. She should definitely feel as loved and special as we try to make her. Some kids put in the cards hearts or they can also put really special words and drawings in each card. This is how everyone tries to make Ms. McCarthy feel very special and loved on that day.
Angel from 5S says, “She always helps cure my severe allergies. Everyone from Colonial should thank Mrs. McCarthy, for being a wonderful patient nurse.” Betty from 5S remembers, “One time in math in kindergarten I tripped and fell on purpose just to go to miss McCarthy’s office because she always made me feel better.” The worst time in the day for the kindergarteners is Mrs.McCarthy lunch break. Her office might be some of the kindergarteners favorite place!
