Lunar New Year Cooking Class

Lunar+New+Year+Cooking+Class

For the past two years, Colonial has held a Lunar New Year cooking class. Everyone gets cooking kits from DeCicco’s and the class is held on a Zoom meeting. CC Jiao leads the class and shows people how to make the recipes.

This year, we made hand pulled noodles. Last year, many people made egg rolls online and loved them. Also, Colonial made dumplings and dip two years ago. “The dumplings were very good,” says Betty Sweeny. CC Jiao says, “I enjoy sharing my culture’s traditions with Colonial and seeing all of the delicious food the kids make,” Penny Garvett says, “My mom does the cooking class and it has been very fun for the past years.”

In conclusion, this cooking class is so fun for everyone and it is good to learn about other cultures’ food. We can’t wait for it and hope we continue this tradition for the future years. We hope to see you on the call!
