PMHS Loses to Skaneateles in Ice Hockey Championship

For a second year in a row, Pelham Memorial High School’s varsity hockey team competed in the state tournament. PMHS beat Saranac 8-2 on Saturday March 11th which landed them a spot in the finals.

PMHS played Skaneateles in the championship. In the finals, Skaneateles dominated the whole game. Their goaltender played great, only letting in one goal the entire game. Also, just like their goaltender, their defense and offense both played fantastic. The defense would not let Pelham even get close to the goalie and if they did, the goaltender would make an amazing save. The goaltender’s nickname was “The Monster” and he really lived up to his name. Their offense played well too, scoring 4 goals making it a final score of 4-1.

Even though Pelham lost in the end, they still had an amazing season.
