Champions: Pelham Boys Rec Basketball Team Colonial 1 Wins!
Colonial 1 won the Pelham rec basketball championship with the help of the starting players James Sheehy, Teddy Gary, Daniel Maron, and Jack Moore. That was an unbeatable starting five.
Going into the game the team was on a hot streak. James Sheehy was dropping 3s and drawing penalties. Colonial and Siwanoy both played well but in the end Colonial was the one celebrating. James Sheehy said, “I was excited but nervous at the same time. When the other team was coming back I knew that we were going to fight back for the win.” He also explained that, “When we pulled off the win I was happy because we were the underdogs! Siwanoy 2 were undefeated and when we won I felt like we deserved it.”
In the end, Colonial 1 won the Pelham Rec Championship this year and they were the ones parading in the hallways.
