Dodgers Spend Loads of Money: Will it pay off?

On December 9th, 2023 the Los Angeles Dodgers broke the baseball world by signing baseball’s unicorn Shohei Ohtani for 10 years for $700 million. Just a few weeks later on December 21st the Dodgers got a early Christmas gift signing young Japanese superstar pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto for a 12 year for 300$ million dollar contract.

These to players contracts combined is over a billion dollars. Other than those huge signings the dodgers were still a great team. Last year, they won the division. But the dodgers haven’t performed well in a playoff the team last year got destroyed by the d-backs in the first round.

Was all this was worth it? We will find out in the upcoming season.
